In May 2026, Odoo 19.3 was released. The PLM module has received a separate set of updates, and some of them address the problems that Ukrainian manufacturing companies face every day: unstable communication, distributed teams, the need to work in conditions of power outages, and synchronize data between sites that may be located in different cities or even countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is a patch release and why is it important when updating<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Odoo 19.3 is a patch release within the 19.x line, i.e. the third scheduled update after versions 19.0, 19.1, and 19.2. Patch releases do not change the architecture of the platform: they modify existing modules, eliminate limitations, and extend specific functions. For companies that already use Odoo PLM, this means that the transition to 19.3 does not require reconfiguring established processes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What has changed directly in PLM<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The main focus of the update is to reduce manual operations when transferring changes from design documentation to production orders. Integration of PLM with production and warehouse modules has become tighter: updating specifications is reflected faster in related processes, and version control is tied to warehouse operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Offline mode.<\/strong> The system now allows you to create, edit, and archive records without a network connection. The only condition is that the recording must be opened online at least once. For venues where power outages or unstable mobile communication are a regular occurrence, this means that the operator records the operation at the time of its execution, rather than postponing it until the connection is restored. The data is synchronized automatically when the connection is restored.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Redesigned labels.<\/strong> Templates for product, batch, and packaging labeling have been redesigned. For companies where labeling is part of component tracking and quality control, this affects the accuracy and speed of operations - especially when working with batches shipped abroad and requiring appropriate clearance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mobile interface.<\/strong> Forms on touchscreen devices have been redesigned. Technologists and operators can work with the system directly at the production site without being tied to a stationary workstation, which is important where the staff does not have a dedicated computer at each post.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to functional changes in PLM, it is important to understand the state of Odoo localization for the Ukrainian market in general.
