Ukrainian ERP Forum firsthand – how was it?

Last Friday, November 24, an event in the field of business automation, accounting and finance took place in Ukraine - Ukrainian ERP Forum 2023. The participants of the forum were heads of innovation and digital transformation in the best Ukrainian companies. Among the topics that were given the main attention at the forum, the following can be highlighted:

  1. Release of the accounting module for Ukraine.
  2. Building a unified automation ecosystem around the company's business goals.
  3. A solution for regulated accounting with an international focus.
  4. Cases of automation and entry into international markets.
  5. Optimization of available internal resources – retraining of specialists and adaptation to new tools.
  6. Critical success factors are customer support, time allocation, and gradual funding of changes.
  7. Regulated accounting and financial accounting in accordance with Ukrainian legislation on the international Odoo platform.
  8. Opportunities and challenges of automation and digital transformation of companies using international software.

The event was supported by: SoftServe, Odoo, Biosphere corp., CFO Club Ukraine and many other equally well-known companies. The event featured speakers from various business and IT worlds:

  1. Olena Kuzmichova is Chief Executive Officer at Self-ERP, author and lecturer of the course "Crisis Management and Decision Making under Uncertainty" at UCU.
  2. Mykhailo Kolisnyk is the president of CFO Club Ukraine, a finance lecturer at the Kyiv School of Economics (KSE), academic director of SOE programs, and managing partner of FINART Smart Solutions (FASS).
  3. Dmytro Popinako is the founder of Innoware, a managing partner in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Professional.
  4. Serhiy Martynenko – Head of Product Team at Self-ERP.
  5. Tetyana Chumak is a leading business consultant at Soft-Terra.
  6. Oleg Shcherbatenko is the director and founder of IT-Enterprise.
  7. Olesya Shevchuk is the head of Odoo Community Association Ukraine (OCA Ukraine), coordinator of Odoo.School.
  8. Anna Semeyko is an advisor to the project "Digitalization of SMEs in the Eastern Partnership countries" and many other equally interesting influencers.

Also among the invited experts was our director and founder, Oleksiy Bardakov, who shared his experience in implementing ERP systems in Ukraine. He noted that the format of the event was quite interesting and paid special attention to the release of the accounting module for Ukraine.

Oleksiy comments on it as follows: “The release of this module was really necessary, because it makes Odoo even more attractive for automation, allows you to attract the attention of more customers. So yes, this is exactly the piece of the puzzle that the system was missing for larger-scale deployment in our country.”

We asked our sales manager what he emphasized for himself after the event and received the following answer: “I liked that the forum included speakers who are directly related to the product, because they provided really useful and interesting information.

This factor played a significant role in the event looking harmonious and professional. Regarding the presentation of the accounting module for Ukraine, this is really exactly what Odoo in Ukraine lacked. The module almost completely meets all the modern market requirements in accounting, and this cannot but please.

This release will significantly increase the interest of enterprises in Odoo, because this issue was perhaps the most important, and finally it can be considered resolved. I cannot fail to note the fact that a lot of useful statistics were provided at the event. Measuring something in numbers and graphs, especially when it comes to business, is probably the best way.”
